In 1999 Ms. Lyons launched Snowfall Films and to date has produced/executive produced fourteen feature films and one pilot. These include: A BAFTA award-winning British comedy UNDERTAKING BETTY (aka “Plots With a View”), with actors Christopher Walken, Brenda Blethyn, Alfred Molina and Naomi Watts with Miramax Distribution. British/Canadian thriller JERICHO MANSIONS staring James Caan, Genevieve Bujold, Maribel Verdu and Jennifer Tilly. JERICHO MANSIONS was an official selection at the Montreal Film Festival and the Hollywood Film Festival. British/Canadian family comedy BAILEY’S BILLION$ which stars Dean Cain, Laurie Holden, Tim Curry, and Jon Lovitz. A drama, THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, based on J.T. LeRoy novel, starring Asia Argento, Marilyn Manson, Winona Ryder, Peter Fonda and Jeremy Renner. The film premiered during the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival and screened to high acclaim at the Toronto Film Festival.

Suzanne co-produced the family film THE CHAPERONE with the WWE, directed by Stephen Herek (“Mr. Holland’s Opus”) and starring Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”) and wrestling star Paul Levesque. She has produced three award-winning thrillers, CANDY STRIPERS distributed by Screen Gems, SÉANCE, written and directed by Mark L. Smith (“The Revenant”) and winner of the Shockerfest award, and PORTAL, both distributed by Lionsgate and she’s exec produced DESERT OF BLOOD.

Suzanne co-exec produced the Canadian thriller, THE CALLING, with Breaking Ball Pictures, Manis Films (“Ides of March”) and producer, Christine Vachon (“Boys Don’t Cry”, “Past Lives”) with Sony as distributor. The cast includes Susan Sarandon, Ellen Burstyn, Donald Sutherland and Topher Grace. Suzanne produced a thriller titled MOST LIKELY TO DIE with MarVista Entertainment and a family action-adventure sci-fi film TIME TOYS with director/writer Mark Rosman (“A Cinderella Story”). In 2022/23 Suzanne worked with director/actor Reggie Currelley on his action thriller, A DARK WAY OUT, with actors Dermot Mulroney and Danny Trajo. She teamed up with Currelley again this past fall to produce a family drama film in Atlanta called “THE SECRET BETWEEN US” with writer/director Tamera Hill starring Michael Jai While, Lisa Arrindell, Tre Ryan and Victoria Rowell.

Suzanne has optioned Mark L. Smith’s (“Twisters” “The Revenant” “Boys in the Boat”) suspense thriller HARDCOURT and has partnered with Rob Deege and Bleiberg Entertainment. Suzanne has also optioned Mark L. Smith’s drama THE HUNTERS. She’s recently been working with well-known hearing impaired actor/director Marlee Matlin (“Coda”) on an underdog family drama feature titled “KING”. She has joined writer/director Mark Rosman (“Time Toys”) to produce his John Lennon family film, IN MY LIFE, set in 1965. She’s partnered with director/producer Sean McNamara (“Reagan” “Sole Survivor” “On a Wing and a Prayer”) on MOSAIC, an action packed thriller based on the novel by New York Times bestselling author Gayle Lynds. She’s optioned an award-winning screenplay by writers Kate Robbins and Jill Garson titled SCOUTS HONOR, a family action/drama about the boy scouts who served as spies in WWI. She is working with producer Michel Shane (“Catch Me if You Can”, “I Robot”) on a true WWII suspense action film called “DIAMOND DOGS” by Lee Shipman.

Currently Suzanne teamed up with director, Ellie Kanner and producer Sean Albertson on a teen comedy/horror film EVE OF DESTRUCTION by Bobby Sacher. Suzanne has partnered with Jeremy Pack on a psychological thriller THE BACK NINE by Jay Gable with interest from Dermot Mulroney and Jesse Metcalfe. She recently signed a deal with Showdog Studio on her TV VR teen mystery/drama, WUNDERLAND. Suzanne has optioned Newfoundland based Kathryn Taylor’s book MISTY’S MISADVENTURES, a light procedural mystery TV series (“MISTY”) with Canadian TV showrunner James Thorpe attached. She has optioned Rod Spence’s light mystery TV pilot THE DONOVAN MYSTERIES and she has partnered with TV Producer Michelle Rubinstein on a pilot titled “THE FIXER”. She has also optioned a number of Christmas projects

Prior to her work as a film producer, Ms. Lyons was VP of Marketing for a Canadian Television station and Network where she also created, produced and directed news and series. She worked in Philadelphia as a sales agent selling film and TV for international distribution. When she moved to Los Angeles she launched a film school, Flash Forward Institute, for people of all facets of the industry. She’s done speaking engagements at well over 80 entertainment industry events and written a book “Indie Film Producing: The Craft of Low Budget Filmmaking” (Focal Press). She plans to launch her one day Film Producing Masterclass and 8 webinars later this year.
